When I was eight years old my grade three teacher, Mrs. MacKinnon did a unit on poetry.
As part of it she had us all write poems to submit to her. After reading mine she asked if she could share it with the class. A profoundly shy young girl, I was embarrassed and proud both.
Thirty six years later I am sharing it with you in the realization that although much time has passed, my feelings about the world can still be summed up fairly well by my innocent sentiments. My wish for the world of humans remains so similar.
Some People
Some people are old.
Some people are young.
Some people are mean,
And stick out their tongue.
Some people are nice,
Like you and me,
So if you aren't,
Please try to be.
Thanks for reading Prattle and Ponder over the past month. Hope you found a poem or two to lift your spirits during this strange time.
Now back to my regular programming of odd and irregular posting with little rhyme nor reason to my posts beyond the prattle and pondering of one little human attesting to beauty while trying to make sense of the world.
As always, wishing you wellness!
Until next time!
Sincerely,
Jill
Thirty eight not thirty six years later...8+38=46...Ha!
