A Poem with a Big Heart

One of my dear sisters is an extraordinary elementary school teacher (and general human).

She, like the rest of us, was wrested out of the life she knew--that of her daily ins and outs with her little class-- and is sheltering at home with her young family all the while providing online content for her school kiddos. Every now and then she posts a catch up blog post for her students and recently this has included reading poems to celebrate Poetry Month.

In a video post today she reads a poem she herself wrote for her class to tell them how special they are and how missed. Playful and poignant both, her video gives a glimpse into the heart of a very caring teacher navigating a very difficult time with the same measure of grace and good humour she brings to all her endeavours.

Oh, if every child could be so lucky as to have a teacher like Mrs. Love!

Just click the link below and you will see the video looking upside down. Click the play button and all will be good. There is even a bonus knock- knock joke by my adorable nephew in case you needed to smile.

Enjoy and be well!

And special thanks to Mrs. Love for allowing me to share this with you.

Jill
